At Borris Lodge we provide Nursing care for the ageing, convalescent, and for those who may simply need care during a holiday period. We provide different levels of care with fully trained nurses and care staff on duty 24 hours a day. Our goal is to provide quality nursing care to our clients in a dignified, friendly and safe environment, while at all times respecting clients privacy and independence.

Borris Lodge nursing home is operated and managed by Helen and Jimmy O’Keeffe, who are both responsible for the day to day running of the home. Helen and Jimmy are qualified General and Psychiatric Nurses who have worked in Ireland, England and the Middle East. Jimmy is also a qualified Counselor and Hypnotherapist and has a diploma in first line management. They both have extensive experience at operational and managerial levels.

Prospective residents and their family are encouraged to visit the home prior to admission. Within two months of admission we enter a contract of Care with each resident in which we detail rights and entitlements and what we should expect from each other.
